Founded in 1991, Minhua Chorus is a non-profit and volunteer- driven arts organization whose mission is to maintain and enhance the cultural heritage and identity of the Chinese community in the Twin Cities, to promote cultural exchange and understanding between people of different ethnic backgrounds, and to foster the development of cultural pluralism in American society. Chorus members come from all walks of life. Since its establishment, Minhua Chorus has been faithfully fulfilling its mission of bringing original Chinese music to people in Minnesota. The chorus has so far staged over 60 performances to a diverse and appreciative community.

Minhua Chorus offers a variety of programs, including the celebration of Chinese holidays and the introduction of masterpieces of Chinese music to American society. Through these programs, we hope to further the understanding and appreciation of Chinese music among people in the Twin Cities.

明华合唱团成立于１９９１年。她是一个音乐爱好者自愿组成的非盈利组织。明华合唱团的宗旨是弘扬中华文化以及促进中美文化交流。合唱团现有五十多名团员来自各个不同工作领域：教授，学生，科学家，工程师，医生，律师，企业家以及自由职业者。明华合唱团的活动经费主要来源于团员捐款，政府及民间基金会提供的文化交流基金以及团费。明华合唱团 自成立以来已在明州先后举办与参与过六十多场演出。近年来，明华合唱团曾先后推出了《歌为桥》，《中华佳节》，《多彩玫瑰》，《岁月如歌》，《黄河大合唱》，《人间情、世间爱》，《西部印象》，《好一朵茉莉花》，和《大洋飞歌》等多场专题演唱会。合唱团的演出深受本地音乐爱好者与观众的喜爱和支持。２００５年９月，明华合唱团到芝加哥与中西部地区的８个合唱团一起联合举办了《纪念抗战胜利六十周年演唱会》。其他合唱团的朋友们对明华合唱团的演唱水平和精神面貌给予了高度赞赏。合唱团的指挥一直是由具有高度艺术素养的专业人士担任。明华合唱团将与本地其他艺术团体一道，继续为弘扬中华文化，促进中美文化交流，促进中美友谊而共同努力。
